Rapid Responsive Space

Rapid Responsive Space

Are small satellites the key to rapid responsive space?

We explored the use of small satellites to confer the flexibility required for rapidly responsive space missions, such as unplanned mission dynamical re-tasking aimed at remerging needs during the mission operation phase.

Key accomplishments

  • Received Air Force funding to study rapid & agile real-time reconfiguration spacecraft based on mission requirements. Learn more.
  • Developed small satellite technologies and components database.
  • Published “A direct analysis and control of nonlinear time-variant spacecraft dynamics in the vicinity of small irregularly shaped bodies.”
