What is technological leadership?
The technological leadership programs are different: we are preparing students for real life.
Students learn complex problem-solving, critical thinking and leadership through an interdisciplinary blend of classroom learning and research. In the BS degree, students also gain invaluable experience through internships and fundamental skills in writing, math and coding, preparing our graduates to succeed in a wide range of endeavors, from the space or tech industry, to think-tanks or consulting firms, to earning an advanced degree.
The heart of these programs consists of inquiry, making and leadership courses.
- Inquiry courses dive into big questions that you get to research alongside instructors, such as “What will the moon look like after human settlement?” and “How can we prepare for and respond to a pandemic in space?”
- Making courses put tools in your hands like prototyping devices and software to help you design new systems or business solutions.
- Leadership courses cultivate the skills that set you apart as a person of influence in your career. Master communication, strategic thinking, project management and more.
Students in the BS program also complete career preparation courses and immersive internship or research experiences designed to provide them with a portfolio of professional accomplishments and to establish a professional network as they plan their careers.
